The Navy faced many challenges during their rise to power, due to lack of experience in sailing. Many of these challenges changed the way the Navy operated, and affected many battles as well.

ChallengesOn their journey to becoming one of the greatest fleets ever in history, Rome had many problems in front of them. One of them, was the constant civil wars that were being caused by political or economic disputes. With these constant battles, it was hard for Rome to have any practice in sailing and navigating the seas, and realise the real enemy was still out there, watching them tear themselves apart. They overcame this challenge by finding peace within the armies, or fighting it out.
